Ripoff

The estimate was approximately $1000 dollars less than the estimate when they showed up on moving day. I could not exactly cancel moving and reschedule as my family needed beds to sleep in. They broke my TV in transit. Now, they will not answer the phone nor respond to emails. No big surprise that they has a "D" rating with the BBB and the BBB has investigated them for deceptive advertising practices.

Professional service.

I was expecting to be taken for a ride, especially in dallas. I was completely surprised by the professional service, positive attitudes, and total accommodation made to me during my move. From the office people providing an accurate quote and treating me like they actually wanted my business, to the mover's who picked up and dropped off our stuff that were so professional, I was completely satisfied with this service. On top of it all, they promised to adjust the price of the move once a total inventory had been taken of the stuff we were moving. No questions asked, they adjusted the rate and charged me based on what I was moving, rather than trying to squeeze me for every single dime. Thanks again for making a stressful move absolutely stress and worry free.

Crooks.

The person that you initially speak with to get a quote is professional and prompt. It isn't until the movers actually come that you get screwed over. How surprising! I'm assuming the good reviews on here are from people who work at the company. They were late for pickup and drop off, unprofessional, not prepared, added $1500 more to the bill, didn't know how to wrap things properly, expensive and fragile items were broken during delivery, the men were rude and they didn't care what went into the boxes together. House hold cleaners with collectible baseball cards, sure?! Save yourself the headache.

Broke almost everything

They broke more than half of my furniture and won’t offer me any recompense other than .60 a pound. When I said that was not acceptable, Rose told me they have a lawyer. Lost a piece of furniture, they don’t care. DO. NOT. CARE. Mover told me it’s my fault for having cheap furniture. They also charged me $1000 more than my “binding estimate” and then tried to charge me $300 for the stairs that I told them were there and were supposed to be included. Scam. All around. I would have lost less money by leaving my things on the curb and setting fire to them because at least I would have paid to get them here in a demolished state.

Great Service from A Great Company.

Having moved 5 times in 5 years now, I could probably write a book about moving! With that in mind, working with All Over The State Moving & Storage was such a pleasant experience. Every member of the team, from the owners to the movers went out of their way to make this such a painless move.     I was most impressed by their honesty and how they kept to their quote without pulling any surprises on us on moving day. When we called for a quote, they didn’t just give an estimate on the phone based on the details we gave. Instead, they came down personally to the house and went room by room, closet by closet to work out exactly how many boxes would be needed and how many hours it would take.        Their price was extremely competitive. Even if you are considering hiring a U-haul truck and some “helpers” to cut costs, give All Over The State Moving & Storage a call first. I’ve gone that route before and I can tell you that after paying for the truck miles insurance labor help you really don’t come out too much ahead. For the extra peace-of-mind you definitely get your money’s worth.     I would recommend All Over The State moving to all my friends and will be calling them again when we move for the 6th time….

Long-distance move from Texas to Florida

Dissatisfied.

Everything they told us was either a lie or misleading.  I will go through point by point. 1.We were told that a 3 bedroom house would fit into an 800 cubic foot area on a truck.  The only way that you can get a three bedroom house into 800 cubic feet of space is if you don't have any furniture or personal belongings.  Expect to take up at least 1,200 cubic feet of space, and that is if you don't have a huge amount of stuff.  We ended up paying $1,000 more than quoted. 2. We were told that 2 drops would not be a problem and that it would not cost extra. That also was a lie. 3. Don't bother writing 'fragile' on anything, they do not care and things will be broken. 4. Lastly, the gentleman who loaded our belongings onto the truck was quite late and unapologetic.  Downright rude as well.   All in all expect the same kind of treatment that you get from a used car salesman. You probably will be less upset going into the process knowing that you are going to be screwed. I cannot recommend these guys to you except to recommend that you look elsewhere. .

Long-distance move from Texas to California

Great Movers.

Baxter, Max, and Ray were great movers! I’ve never hired movers before but this time it was necessary for my move from Texas to California.  They wrapped up all my furniture it was amazing.  Nothing got ding, not a wall was touched. All in all every item got delivered safely and they placed each item in the desired location.  Our move went well and I cannot believe they did all of that hard work packing my home in one day we really had more stuff then what we thought.  I would definitely approve of their pricing and their services.  It is to be expected when you have a large home, that it will take longer and cost more.  I was referred to them by a coworker and would definitely recommend. Thanks so much for all the help and I have never had an easier time relocating. Thanks you All Over The State for the great experience. .

Long-distance move from Texas to Florida

You will be sorry if you use them.

I did not hire this company.  I hired a company in Florida and they hired these people.  They showed up on time but immediately told me the price would be at least $900. more. and that I half to give them half now. When I balked they threatened to leave right then.  This was the day before the closing on my house so I had no choice. I gave them my credit card and they charged me half of the amount.  I packed half of my belongings myself before they came. They did hold it in the whse for me because I had no home yet.   When I closed on my Condo and called them for delivery of my stuff they gave me a window of March 20, 21 or 22.  The driver did not show up until Monday the 23rd of March.  He was one guy and his three kids.  The driver demanded payment before he even unloaded and he demanded CASH!. When I told him I paid with credit card before he said no he would not accept. If I did not give him cash he would not give me my stuff.  I had to go to the bank and get some cash. When I finally was able to unpack things I noticed boxes of items missing.  I contacted the company and told them to check to see where my the driver claimed that he stood there and counted every box with me (he lied). He just shoved the paper under my nose and told me to sigh. Worst Experience I have ever had.  Except for Jeri in the office they are the most nasty and unprofessional company. So sad. You will be sorry if you use them. They are bullies. Oh by the way they discarded my original quote and made one of there own.  Hire a more reputable company like I should have.

Long-distance move from Texas to South Carolina

Avoid All State Moving and Storage.

I remember a commercial set at an airport where customer luggage was passed through to a separate room where gorillas stomped all over the pieces.  This happened to our items.  Boxes were upended, crushed, and abused.  Boxes marked 'fragile' were collapsed and delivered upside down.  A metal frame was bent and damaged beyond repair.  The company agreed to hook up the washer and dryer and said it was done.  Silly me,I didn't think to check.  The drain hose on the washer was not placed in the receptacle and I found this out when the first wash drained water; ruining the floor covering in that room and, through the walls, to other parts of the house.  What fun:  cleaning up a flood as you unpack after a move!  When I called the company the representatives spoken to had several stories - one, they didn't do it, two, they are not responsible, three, the flooding was due to a faucet leak they told us about.  They defended this negligence by telling me that they had no prior complaints against this employee so I must be wrong.  Go figure that logic!  While that caused the most damage and aggravation, the parting shot was while leaving, the driver knocked down the mailbox post ripping the mailbox off and then drove over the mailbox.  When this was reported the response was a denial - send pictures, which I did, then a denial that the driver was responsible, then the driver had no prior complaints about his work so it could not have been his fault.  While accidents happen the company's response of denial of responsibility, refusal to acknowledge a wrongdoing, and a total lack of civil empathy cannot be excused.  On a sinful day I would recommend this company to my worse enemy.  I would go out of my way to warn others.  Integrity and honesty should be the cornerstone of any company.  I did not find it here.

Impressed.

I was so impressed with All Over The State. I moved from Tx to Florida and a friend recommended them to do my move. Emailing with them to set up was so simple and every one of their responses was incredibly detailed and helpful. I'd never used movers before and it made the entire process easier having all the information needed without having to research. After getting all of the information needed and setting up the move. This also simplified the move.  The day of the move went very well. The mover in charge of the group contacted me multiple times before arriving at my apartment and was very considerate of my schedule. It was appreciated because we actually were able to get the move done earlier and faster than they expected. There were three total movers involved in the process and having that many people made it go SO fast.

This company is very well organized and definitely trains their employees to take care of your belongings. They made what could be a stressful experience into a fast and easy one. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Absolutely Awful! Do not hire these people!

The worst moving experience ever!! There were stolen items, major damage to ALL furniture and house upon delivery. Not trustworthy and dishonest. They even delivered items to our home that were not ours. They caused over $4,000 worth of damage and missing items but only offered $273 for repairs and replacement from the "insurance" that was purchased. Please check the numerous complaints on the BBB website. Again, DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!

Long-distance move from Mineral Wells, TX to Lawrenceburg, IN

State to State moving.

This company was brokered through National Moving Group. This company in turn hired Traditional Express to actually move my furniture, etc. to me from Texas to Kentucky. This third part was so crooked. The driver kept calling me from the road to ask if I would pay him cash. When I said he would get paid with a Post Office Money Order, he said I did not want to work with him. When he got to the apt complex, he refused to bring his truck to my building and bring my things to my apt. I and several people from the complex, including staff, had to unload the truck and use several vehicles to get my things to and up into my apt. I even had to have the police present so this could be done. Every piece of wood furniture was damaged to some degree when coming off the truck. The truck driver said that if I wanted the things delivered to my apt it would cost another $450.00. SCAM!! I had to contact the police and they intervened on my behalf and explain to the truck driver that what he was doing was illegal. That did not matter. This was a NIGHTMARE!

Update on my Move From Texas to Missouri.

WORST COMPANY EVER! They made sure I had cash, then when delivery refused to deliver items to the rooms they belong. LOST my bed frame wheel/ lost a shelf, and ladder. They even put my bed together without one leg and were going to leave it like that. They wanted $75 to help me remove my 55" TV from the box, $75 to remove the downstairs door and another $75 dollars EACH to take my W/D downstairs. THIS COMPANY IS AWFUL!! Then they demanded a TIP! I just looked at them and told them to get out. I move with my company once a year. I will NEVER USE THIS RIP OFF COMPANY AGAIN. I paid 6K to move stuff and paid that same amount with Mayflower and Allied, which both give you EXCELLENT service.

Nothing But a Scam.

This company showed up at my home the morning of my interstate move pretending to be Summit Van Lines, the company I actually hired. I was scammed out of paying All Over the State movers an additional $1200. I had no prior contact nor negotiations with them. They damaged my furniture and Baby Grand piano. And the company I hold responsible claim not to know anything about All Over the State Moving and Storage company. I am puzzled that All Over the State movers had the address to my house and knew about my move. Beware! Scammers are everywhere. Never sign anyone's contract within minutes of having your furniture loaded to the truck, unless you have the time to read multiple legal size paper of fine print. It's part of the scam.

Horrible dishonest company STAY AWAY.

This is a scam!! do not use these people, they tell you over and over they will call a week before 30 days are up. But they won't so they can charge you more. Then they say "we don't call it's your responsibility"  they add charges and more charges to double the quoted amount. They won't return calls for days so they can add to the cost of the move and storage. We were quoted $2800.00 I measured EVERY piece of furniture. They said I had almost 2 times as much stuff then the quote.  of course that's after it's all loaded. I'm calling the Better Business bureau and make a complaint.

Long-distance move from Louisiana to Georgia

Bad moving company.

I used this company to move from Louisiana to Georgia. The only thing that was good was Jake, the initial person that I spoke with to book the move.

The problems I ran into were:
1. Increase in price after loading all my items
2. Lack of communication while the company had my items
3. I was lied to about the drop off date
4. I was lied to about the truck breaking down
5. The movers showed up at midnight to unload my belonings in my new house in my new neighborhood (I still wonder what my neighbors thought about me moving in during the middle of the night)
6. I am still missing stuff
7. They completely destroyed one of my dressers.
8. My mattresses were unwrapped riding on the outside of the moving truck
9. I paid for mattress covering and I did not get any special wrapping.

I would not recommend this company. Moving is already hard enough, don't let this company be an additional headache.

Long-distance move from Kansas to Arizona

Awful movers.

Worst Co I have ever dealt with. They were supposed to call and set up time to pack a week in advance. My pick up was set for the 30th, on the 29th I still had not heard from them. I phoned and they said they would be there the 1st. I told them it was not acceptable. They did come the 29th, told me it was going to be $1500 more than I was quoted. Once truck was packed they drove to Texas unpacked truck and loaded in another truck. Not sure the reason behind that. It took them 9 days to deliver my furniture. I had to buy a blow up mattress. Boxs marked fragil were damaged I had to side tables they just shoved in a box with heavy items broke the top off one and a leg off the other. Lost keys to my antique chest and I could go on. They have you sign papers so quick They had marked on all my furniture items that it was scratched. IT WASN'T. They only pay 60 cents a LB for damages. I don't think they care at all about how they handle your belongings. They do a sloppy job knowing they won't have to pay much.   don't believe the good reviews are true. DON"T ever use this CO they should be put out of busines.

Long-distance move from Houston, TX to Hillsboro, OR

Do not even consider them.

If I could give less than one star, I would. Absolutely terrible customer service, communication, unprofessional, and unorganized. I moved from houston texas to hillsboro oregon. I used long distance movers as an aggregate company who then hired all over the state movers as the actual muscle to get the job done. Strike one on me, never use an aggregator company, the will charge u like crazy for their finders fee services that amount to pretty much nothing. Even the guy from AOTS (all over the state) said the binding estimate fee they charged me was insane. Have I called them directly, it would have only ben a few hundred rather than 2 grand. Least he was honest about that, but who knows.

Anyway, LDM said this move would be based on weight in the truck. I will take a second penalty here because I underestimated my stuff by more than half. I was willing to pay the overage. So moving day comes and the guy who was in charge was pushy, forceful, did not speak coherent english, and seemed to be in it for himself said I would need extra space. He took me outside to show me these equally distanced markings on the outside of the truck and indicated to me that 2 markings of space on the truck was allocated to me. I needed more so he reworked the cost. Originally I needed 540 sq feet, now it was 780..alright that's fine. But when did this become a space issue since I was told by LDM it was about weight. ldm even told me they stop at a weight station amd are suppose to give you the truck weight slip and that's what pricing is based off of. It wasn't and when I told the head guy, he looked at me like I was as insane.

While they continue to load, I call LDM and ask why there is no communication between companies. She then calls the other company and I'm on hold for forever..on my moving day. Then the guy from AOTS tells his guys to stop and said I wanted to cancel the job. I never said that, I am asking why no one has correct information.

I was too stressed at that point to care. I said keep loading, we will do it your way. My mom was outside at this point watching them load the truck and as they stacked things on the moveable ramp, a gust of wind came and knocked a box of glass dishes off of a 4 box high (why are u stacking boxes of glass 4 high?) To the ground. Everything in the box shattered. Ok, fine..honest mistake I thought. Just keep going. I tipped each worker 20 dollars an hour, 2 hours each, 3 workers was 120 dollars. That's fair but tbh, the head guy did not deserve it. Also we don't know each other yet he used lots of profanity around my mother an I, not directed toward us but in his natural jargon.

So one million years later, in actuality 2 weeks later, I call from oregon and ask for an eta on my stuff. Of course how this company works, its like a moving co op, multiple peoples things going in the same direction move together. Originally LDM told me 16 to 21 business days. Fine, I check back after some time and they still haven't left. Finally get a hold of someone, a rude woman with a heavy texas accent, who told me they had 30 business days to deliver. Not what was originally told to me but nothing in this scenario was so ok, ill swallow it. my stuff arrives on the 23rd business day. Now this section deserves a whole nother paragraph.

They dudes (3 guys) arrive. Before anyone gets off, that morning my husband and I call the movers to ask why the final drop off fee is more than the pick up fee as I was told it would be the same. My question was simple: is the drop off fee higher because of the space adjustment? The same woman from LDM could not answer, she didn't understand. Anywho, finally got the answer that they split the adjustment to 150 something on the pick up making is 1480 something and put the bulk of the adjustment for space price on the drop off. Apparently this was done because the guy said he thought I didn't have enough money. First of all, rude af, I never said I couldn't pay and how dare u assume that. Second, why didn't u just explain it to me before you did it that way. Lets move on. Before the guys even step foot in my house I said all items marked bedroom, office or bathroom go upstairs, the rest stays on the first floor. 20 mins into this ordeal it seems to be going ok, some people are taking boxes up, some putting together items. Eventually all boxes start pilling up in the living room.

Now, everything is essentially in the house and they main dude, a white guy with a serious attitude and was either previously high or currently high because he wreaked of weed, had my husband signing something saying it was all in the house. We thought, ok looks like everything is here, were just waiting for the rest of the stuff to be taken upstairs and another table to be put together. My husband and I look at each other puzzled because I made it clear that there was more to be done. THEY LEFT. Fuming, I call LDM and have them come back to finish the job. They left with 75 percent of it done, who does that? The guy didn't even apologize for leaving. He sloppily puts together a vanity table which I am now tightening the legs since he didn't care to, and take the rest of the boxes upstairs. We did not tip them as this was completely unprofessional and disjointed. They leave.

Ten minutes later the white guy with the attitude and possible substance abuse problem comes back and asks my husband to write a review. My husband ask about this company or LDM? The guy replies with "whatever". Are you serious right now? Am I being punked? Who does this?

Never ever ever in your life hire either of these companies. Save your time and money.

Long-distance move from Houston, TX to Colorado Springs, CO

Poor schedule management and customer service.

I initially set up my move through some company called Arrow Movers but these are the people who serviced the move. Completely unprofessional and the worst experience I have had with movers. Committed to picking up on Friday but moved my date up. Stated they would arrive between 11 and 12. The day off I get a call around 13 saying they will be and there in an hour then but didn't show up until after 2. Called customer service to complain about the inconvenience and the jacked up price. Was told I would a call back from the regional dispatch in 10 minutes and never heard from them. The driver was horrible at managing his schedule and caused me to have to ask a family member to leave her job to meet them because the I had to return to work after waiting an hour for them. I would rather pay more then use Arrow Movers or this company again.

Long-distance move from Oklahoma to Kentucky

Worst moving company EVER!

First we hired Charter and this moving company showed up. We has to sign on new house in 72 hours, so we were stuck. Foreman told us our furniture wil be delivered June 4,we moved from Oklahoma to Kentucky. On June 4, imagine our surprise to find out our furniture is in Addison texas in storage. To make long story short, next 39 days we were told, the truck was broken down, truck was totalled, truck never showed up, and my furniture missed the truck. They will bring up that I cussed out the lady on the phone, wouldn't you! We had to call attorney General of texas, transportation of texas, report our furniture stolen in Kentucky. And the day we had a appointment with lawyer, our furniture arrived. My jewelry was missing (thank goodness it was costume). They lost all bolts to furniture that needed to be put back together (how convenient). 17 box's are missing. A lot of stuff was broken. We are still waiting for our refund it's been over three months. I do give the answering machine five stars, because it's the only thing that knows it's job and answers the phone.

Fraudulent practice/overcharge.

All Over The State Moving and Storage is nothing but an unethical and crooked organization. We booked our move with Charter Van Lines, who outsourced the move to All Over The State. The final total of the move was over $1,000 more than the quote. The delivery guidelines were not followed. The dispatcher lied and had no interest in making it right. The driver, Aziz, cussed my son. Stating "You can suck my.." and "I will just keep your sh..".
This company is one of the worst I have ever dealt with. I will post as many negative reviews as I can on as many websites as possible. I tried to reach out to their dispatcher, Sherry, their driver, Aziz, the Charter Van Lines CS Rep, Isabel (I believe) and Josh, the rep that booked the original reservation. He convinced me to go with them because their competitor, Geo Van Lines, had many bad reviews through BBB. Well these two companies will now have their share of bad reviews on the BBB.

Long-distance move from Dallas, TX to Denver, CO

Most Incompetent Moving Company Ever!

I scheduled my move through Trinity Relocation Services who lied to me about several things right from the start, I looked past it and went forward with the move because I really needed my possessions at my new apartment in Denver.

The moving broker partnered with All Over The States Moving & Storage. To say the least, this company is completely incompetent. After waiting a week and a half for a call that never came that my things were in transit, I had someone at the company track down my move and they promised a 48 hr heads up with my delivery time.

I get a call at 6:30 at night saying that they will be delivering my stuff at 9AM the next morning, and they want $827 in cash or a USPS money order. Definitely not a 48 hour heads up as promised.

When the movers get there they demand $150 additional in cash due to the number of steps between the truck and my front door. It was a literal 10 physical walking steps over the allotted 75 physical walking steps. I had $75 on me in cash, which I offered so they would begin the move while I went back to the atm. They demanded the entire $150 before they would move anything into my apartment. They piled up my boxes in front of my doorstep and refused to move my items until I came back with the money.

This company will nickel and dime you over every little thing. They even charged $700 over the quoted cost to pack up 3 boxes. 3 boxes!!

I want to save the fine people of America from the horrific nightmare that was my moving experience with All Over The States and Trinity Relocation Group. Please go with an actual reputable company rather than this sham.

Local move from Dallas, TX to Albany, TX

Terrible Delivery Experience.

I booked with All Over The State Movers for my move from Dallas to Albany,NY because they represented themselves as a carrier and not a broker and assured me my belongings would be handled by only them. In Dallas things went well but the delivery to Albany, NY was a nightmare. My belongings were heaped up inside a tractor trailer with absolutely no care shown. Numerous items are broken. The delivery men were smoking inside the trailer with my belongings and those of other customers. The driver and other laborer were extremely rude and demanding to me and the employee of the storage facility. My very expensive memory foam mattress was folded in half and wrapped up and the man refused to unwrap it. The legs are off my sofa and the man threw the leg and the bolts into the unit and then unwrapped and placed my oyster colored sofa..fabric side down on a filthy industrial building floor. The sales and service people on the phone in Texas were polite but they contract your move out to horrible people. You have no real consumer protection or recourse with them. Be sure to have more than one person on the receiving end because you will need back up to defend yourself. Terrible experience!!
